
Joan has been teaching dance and Pilates-based conditioning classes for over 30 years, training with Pilates teachers Patrick Strong (NY/WI), Lesley Powell (NY), Susan Landsman (FL), and Amy Beversdorf (WI), She completed Balanced Body® Mat I, Mat II, Reformer I, Reformer II, Reformer III and Pilates Chair Instructor Training courses in the process of becoming a comprehensively certified Pilates Teacher.
Joan, along with Amy Beversdorf is Co-Director of the UWSP/Balanced Body Pilates Mat Instructor Program. Joan is also Chair of the Department of Theater & Dance, at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She earned dance degrees from The Juilliard School and New York University. She continues to train professionally in New York with master teachers in Ballet, Klein Technique©, Pilates and functional anatomy.

Breeda hails from County Cork Ireland and began studying Pilates at Studio B in 2016. A former Olympian, Breeda now focuses her energy helping others maintain their fitness and health from the very young to the aging adult.
Breeda has life-long qualifications as a health and wellness professional, graduating with a BS and MS degrees in Health Promotion and Physical Education from Western Kentucky University. She is a IAAF World Certified Elite Running Coach, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach and holds multiple certifications in functional training and sports injury therapy. Breeda compliments her fitness training as a licensed Massage Therapist.

Pilates Mat class teaches the principles of functional anatomy that strengthen the body’s core, improve balance, and increase coordination and movement efficiency. Participants can expect to have a full conditioning experience that leads to evenly balanced musculature, increased range of motion and enhanced physical performance. We offer classes for all levels, both in-studio and as an online pilates experience in a positive and focused atmosphere.
Our Vinyasa Yoga class is an accessible practice which includes breathing techniques, powerful movement flows and mindful moments. The focus is to provide a movement experience that will contribute to a healthy, joyful and more connected life – on and off the yoga mat.
Balanced Body Barre combines elements of ballet technique and Pilates movement principles to provide an energizing workout that strengthens, stretches, and tones the whole body. Class is set to music and participants can plan to work up a sweat, targeting the muscles of the core, legs, and arms. Dance experience is not necessary!
